"I have been building model ships for 30 years. During that time I have sold ships to model companies, the navy, museums, buyers, and collectors all over the country. I put hundreds of hours of careful and talented work into every model. Most ships that I build are plank on frame, meaning the keel is set, the frame is setup, then the hull is planked like a real ship would be planked. I am building ships about 60 hours a week and I love it! I also build the tables for my ships. These are made of oak. I can build tables with either shaker legs or Queen Anne Legs and I can finish them any color that oak would allow. The cases are custom made to each model by New Wave Acrylics of Charlotte. I ship my work all over the world. I use the services of a company here in Charlotte, N.C. that specializes in crating and shipping antiques and art. All models are shipped fully insured I am often asked to build special models for customers and I work hard to build for them what they want.
